Founded in July of 2005, Blackburn Claim Services, Inc. is a class ‘S’ corporation with Mark R. Blackburn, AIC and Sherri M. Blackburn as sole principal owners. On January 1, 2006, Blackburn Claim Services, Inc. began doing business as CASTLE CLAIMS SERVICE and is celebrating its 47th year in business under the name of Castle Claims Service. The original company, Castle Claims Service, Inc. was founded in 1963 in Castle Shannon, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where an office is still maintained within miles of the original location. We continue to provide the same quality and dependable service throughout Western Pennsylvania, and Eastern Ohio on a daily basis from offices located in Pittsburgh, New Castle and Erie.

Blackburn Claim Services, Inc. dba CASTLE CLAIMS SERVICE retained many of the dedicated employees of Castle Claims Service Inc. Numerous employees have in excess of 20 years with Castle Claims Service. We are proud of our employees and their long association with this company. Castle Claims Service continues to service their clients: Insurance Companies and self insurer’s wishing to secure quality service for their policyholders and claimants through fair pricing appraisals, estimates, and prompt contact and follow up. We are listed in BEST's Recommended Insurance Adjusters and the Claim Service Guide, and the Claims Pages Directory. We are members of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA), Pennsylvania Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (PAIIA), Pennsylvania Claims Association (PCA), the Pennsylvania Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (PAMIC), the Lake Erie Claims Association (LECA), the Insurance Club of Erie County, and numerous Fraud and Arson investigative associations.

What We Do

We are a multi-line independent adjusting company servicing the Insurance Industry since 1963. We have the benefit of qualified competent adjusters with many years of adjusting experience. We use the Xactimate Estimating Program, we utilize File Trac Online Reporting for claim information and data storage. We pride ourselves in prompt contact within 24 hours and inspection within 48 hours of assignment. We secure agreed price appraisals with the insured or a contractor whenever possible.
